» Review:
Emmure is a band that was destined to come together. The founding members met through the Internet, then commuted hours at a time from Queens, New York to Connecticut and back, to rehearse, write their music and settle on a lineup, doing all this with one goal in mind: “We’re looking to be the heaviest, most emotionally moving band out there.”
-----------------------
Too much or not enought, Emmure's debut full lenght produce a new genre -emo death ?- where you can find fuckin low guitars, some death/emo singing, beakdowns, breakdowns, breakdowns, breakdowns, and sometimes few chaotic parts. It's evident the boys found something on the generic scene of modern metalcore, but it's still for an aging has-been like me too repetitive and fashion to be really interesting. I guess we could give them some time and see how they will evolve in the future.
