I discovered this band by surfing on the Net. I downloaded one song, I liked it, and then got in touch with the band to get some more material. Cease to Exist is a brand new band and they seem to hail from the streets of Boston. 'Seem to' cuz their exact origin ain't mentioned on the demo, nor on their website. But since ex-With One Intent guitarist Rudy just joined the band, I guess they must be from the MA area. Anyway, what we have here is excellent beatdown style hardcore and actually one of the best demo's I've heard in a long time. The first notes of the song 'Disappearance' could have been written by All Out War, then the next song 'Last Regret' is real groovy with tons of back up vocals and a great part that starts with one guitar and vocals only (I love this kind of combination !!!). Of course, there's nothing new here, nothing really original, but the whole thing is done so well, sounds so good that you can't do nothing else than like it and destroy everything in your room everytime you listen to the demo ! This will appeal to all fans of All out War, Bulldoze, this is beatdown style the way it's supposed to be. One of those bands you can't wait to see live!
