ON OUR OWN "Now and forever" (cd)
On our own formed in the fall of 2001 with the intention of bringing a straightforward yet diverse hardcore sound (old school meets new school) to the South Florida hardcore scene. The members agreed that, with the exception of a few bands, there was a lack of straight-up hardcore bands that once defined the sound of South Florida hardcore. On Our Own loves hardcore, and that has always been the primary purpose of the band. Since the band's inception, they have shared the stage with such national hardcore powerhouses as Until The End, Where Fear and Weapons Meet, Strength For A Reason, Hoods, Ringworm, Punishment, Stretch Armstrong, Vietnom, The Comeback Kid, Figure Four, and Shattered Realm, among any others.
After completeing a successful 3 week summer tour which included dates with Ringworm, Punishment, and Hoods, the band is ready to hit the road again and already a December tour is in the works. Having endured some substantial lineup changes that could very well cripple other bands in such a short time frame, the band has persevered with one goal in mind: to play brutal hardcore with heartfelt, thought provoking lyrics.
