Security Threat was formed in late 2002 with the intention of starting a Straight Edge hardcore band, something that Finland´s hardcore scene had been lacking for a few years. Gaining strong local support through their energetic live shows, they're now releasing their debut CDEP "The Order" as a split release by 7Ply Records and Fullhouse Records in august 2003.
With musical influences drawn from classic metal-tinged hardcore such as Cro-Mags, Integrity and Judge, and uncompromising lyrics inspired by the likes of Earth Crisis and Liar, Security Threat is representing drugfree and vegetarian/vegan ideals backed with a fast and heavy sound, often compared to Terror, Death Threat and Strength For A Reason. With the addition of a 2nd guitarist in late 2003 just prior to the release of their record, they´re ready to take over the scene by storm! you´ve been warned.
