BEECHER "This elegy, his autopsy" (cd)
ENo matter how many times i listen to this second album of Beecher, the only word that comes to me is : "music". Music in it's purest form, creative, without any barrier, far from all well know lands of cliche and posturing. So yes Beecher is a damn great band, and yes "This Elegy, His Autopsy" is a masterpiece. The playing is superb and tight, songs always twist and turn in unexpected forms and tempo, this is thick, radical, warm and melodic. The production of Kurt Ballou again gives them all the space needed to show the bands' quality. One of the albums of the year.

BEECHER "Breaking the fourth wall" (cd)
Earache has plucked another band out of the U.K. this time Manchester greatest noisecore bashers BEECHER. Originally released in 2003 on Calculated Risk Products, "Breaking the Fourth Wall" has now got a worldwide release with bonus tracks. The Kurt Ballou production at Godcity studios harnesses the band's chaotic, semi-mathy and astonishing creativity, making "Breaking the Fourth Wall" stand apart from the horizon of saturated music drawing from Converge to Coalesce. This is a reissue, and clearly the extra songs are unnecessary : but if you don't own this already, you need it now.
